About the Position

The Account Manager is responsible for development and implementation of communication programs within a client/project strategic plan. S/he offers effective strategic counsel to clients and team members and contributes to the development of project elements as needed.

Account Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Under the direction of an Account Director, managing public relations and communication programs for clients;
  • Establishing client objectives and developing strategies including messaging to achieve them;
  • Developing tactical workplans based on strategic plan;
  • Following workplans to ensure timelines and priorities are met;
  • Managing project deliverables according to schedule and budget;
  • Identifying additional services that can be provided to existing clients to expand the scope of work and grow the business unit;
  • Media relations for client announcements and consistent press outreach;
  • Writing specialized materials including, but not limited to press releases, newsletters, articles, blog posts, web articles, opinion editorials and other materials as needed;
  • Tracking media coverage and creating reports;
  • Implementing and tracking social media campaigns;
  • Creating and maintaining events, awards, speaking engagement calendars;
  • Reviewing and advising on web, video and print design materials;
  • Preparing meeting schedules and call agendas for clients;
  • Providing recommendations on how to improve ongoing campaigns and projects;
  • Meeting deadlines while adhering to project budgets;
  • Supporting Account Director with additional tasks as needed.\

Education, Experience and Aptitude

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree(s) in journalism, public relations, marketing and/or communications are preferred
  • Minimum 6 years prior agency or in-house experience in public relations/communications or journalism
  • An interest in and aptitude for science, technology and healthcare (preferred)
  • Skilled writer with an eye for design
  • Social media savvy
  • Extremely organized and a proficient multitasker

Social Media Coordinator

About the Candidate

PR Associates is seeking an ambitious, self-motivated, skilled and highly organized individual to act as a Social Media Coordinator. As the Social Media Co-ordinator, you’ll be a strong contributor to marketing execution here at PRA. You will be our go-to person for all things social; external or internal. You’ll take our marketing campaigns to new levels with your ability to continually test and implement new ideas quickly. You will help build our community through spearheading ours and our client’s social media (Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook), email blasts, and other digital marketing efforts.

About the Position

  • Coordinate with our Marketing & Design Manager to create and design digital and print marketing materials for our clients and our company
  • Coordinate with our Lead Designer to create messaging
  • Help create email campaigns to send to our Prospects, Clients, and Industry community
  • Assist in managing PRA’s Social Media platforms including the creation of social-first content from ideation to delivery & responding to comments and feedback
  • Gather case studies and inspiration for social media, events and campaigns 
  • Recommend improvements by using A/B tests and insights derived from performance data 
  • Creates internal reports analyzing the success of each campaign and uses data-driven feedback to improve usability and engagement across digital media
  • Write compelling copy

Requirements

Qualifications

Education:

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma/certificate in either Marketing or Design or an equivalent combination of education and business-related experience.
