Public Relations Account Manager

About the Position

 The Account Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of communication programs within a client/project strategic plan. S/he offers effective strategic counsel to clients and team members and contributes to the development of project elements as needed. 

Account Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Managing public relations and communication programs for clients; 
  • Developing strategic communications plans for clients; 
  • Managing project deliverables according to schedule and budget; 
  • Identifying additional services that can be provided to existing clients to expand the scope of work and grow the business unit; 
  • Media relations including monitoring and creating reports; 
  • Writing specialized materials including, but not limited to press releases, newsletters, articles, blog posts, web articles, opinion editorials and other materials as needed; 
  • Project management of social media campaigns; 
  • Implementing tactical plans for clients including creating and maintaining events, awards, speaking engagement calendars; 
  • Reviewing and advising on web, video and print design materials; 
  • Providing recommendations on how to improve ongoing campaigns and projects; 
  • Supporting Account Director with additional tasks as needed. 

    Education, Experience and Aptitude

      • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree(s) in journalism, public relations, marketing and/or communications are preferred; 
      • Minimum 8-10 years prior agency or in-house experience in public relations/communications; 
      • An interest in and aptitude for science, technology and healthcare (preferred); 
      • Skilled writer with an eye for design; 
      • Social media savvy; 
      • Extremely organized and a proficient multitasker; 
      • Resourcefulness; 
      • Attention to detail;
      • Fast learner;
      • Initiative taker

    Digital Marketing Manager/Senior Graphic Design

    About the Position

    Working as part of a fun and passionate team, the Digital Marketing Manager/Senior Graphic Design will be involved in all aspects of the marketing strategy with a strong focus on design; taking responsibility for producing various types of marketing collateral, communications and ensuring brand consistency for our clients and across the company.

    The successful candidate will have a mix of creative, design and digital marketing skills and will be a self-motivated and highly organized individual who can manage several projects at once. They will also have the desire to come forward with new ideas and contribute to the bigger picture.

     

    Digital Marketing Manager/Senior Graphic Design responsibilities include, but are not limited to, for both clients and the Company:

    1. Design: A strong working knowledge of Adobe CS and fully competent in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is essential. Knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro is recommended. Some areas of focus include:

    • Brochures, adverts, flyers, business cards and other marketing collateral and preparing artwork for print where necessary.
    • Designing and producing highly creative, impactful presentations for new business pitches and client presentations.
    • Effectively manage multiple projects at a time, prioritising where necessary and providing updates where relevant.
    • Work with business development and other internal departments to understand their needs.
    • Think creatively, generate new ideas, designs and concepts.

    2. Digital Marketing:

    • Plan and execute all digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and display advertising campaigns.
    • Support the Social Media Coordinator to build our social media presence.
    • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).
    • Identify trends and insights and optimize spend and performance.
    • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies.
    • Create landing pages and optimize.
    • Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate.

      Education, Experience and Aptitude

      • Degree in marketing and graphic design or a related field.
      • Proven working experience in a high-level graphic design and digital marketing role.
      • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns.

      • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate.
      • Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels.
      • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics,)
      • Experience in setting up and optimizing Google AdWords campaigns.
      • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints.
      • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
      • Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
      • Hands-on, self-motivated and naturally organized individual.
      • Creative with strong attention to detail.
      • Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
      • Proactive, task driven and positive attitude.
      • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
      • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
      • Senior level competence in the following software is required:

        • Adobe CS – InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop
        • Microsoft Office in particular Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Mailchimp & HTML
