Media and Presentation Training
What sets PR Associates apart is we specialize in media training for the mineral exploration, development and mining industry. As former mining journalists and current media relations counsel to Canada’s leading mining organizations, we use our in-depth knowledge about the industry to teach spokespeople how to manage exchanges with journalists for win-win outcomes.
Company spokespeople will learn to build effective working relationships with reporters by becoming better communicators—not by being better at spinning, waffling, side-stepping, evading answers or just repeating key messages. We’ll teach you how you can help journalists write balanced stories, offering accurate information from your point of view while protecting yourself and your organization.
Our custom-designed media training sessions help companies achieve their unique strategic goals. After attending a media training workshop conducted by PR Associates, you’ll develop better relationships with reporters, meet your strategic communication objectives and improve risk management.
Other workshops include:
- Crisis media training for the mineral exploration, development and mining industry
- Presentation training for mineral exploration, development and mining executives
- Preparing for public meetings and First Nations engagement
Presentation training
Business professionals consistently report that of all the skills their team members could improve upon the most, presentation skills are at the top of the list. From project meetings to customer calls to executive interactions to board and shareholder conferences, the key to success rarely rests on the message itself, but rather it depends on the skill with which the message is delivered.
PR Associates’ presentation programs deliverable performance improvement results that are measurable and repeatable, increasing the impact and effectiveness of any presentation assignment.
Crisis Communication training
PR Associates teaches you how to communicate effectively with the media during a crisis.
In our interactive workshops, we teach you how to be ready for the worst. We concentrate on the steps required to prepare for a negative situation or crisis. You will learn the rules of damage control, how to cope with intense media scrutiny and how to create a crisis communication plan.
You will also learn how to handle high-pressure interviews. On-camera practice is based on realistic scenarios tailored to your organization.
